We have a gift for you.

Our Away Day will give you an opportunity to rest and replenish yourself and find out more about what we offer at Jijaze.

During the day we are going to be exploring how, as a woman committed to creating change in the world, we can take steps not just to take care of ourselves on this one day, but how we can make simple, possible self-care a habit; make it part of how we plan our work and enact our passion to make a difference in the world.

A chance to clear your diary and let go of your list for a few hours

(if you can’t do it at the same time as us, don’t worry there will also be a recording available to everyone who signs up, so you can ‘away day’ with us at another time of your choosing).

We’d love you to join us on 20th September

for a Free Away Day.

What You'll Get From Participating

Desiree Adaway

Kimberly Weiss is a body neutral, BS-free teacher, writer and speaker. She helps women stop being an asshole to themselves in a way that doesn't involve sugar cleanses or a daily vision board.

Kimberly Weiss

Christina Lynch

Meg Kissack will talk about why self-care really matters to us as women passionate about changing the world.

Christina Lynch will lead you into an exploration to celebrate the Change Maker in You, and invite you to share your deep desire to contribute with us and the other women present.

Kimberly Weiss will talk about finding movement that makes you feel good instead of what you think you "should" be doing.

And Desiree Adaway will talk about the origins of radical self-care and why we all need to wake up and smell the patriarchal conditioning that keeps us busy and overstretched.

What’s more, Mary Ann Clements from Jijaze will be inviting you throughout the day to explore some simple practices to help you take care of yourself and will share tools to support you in taking a step back, figuring out how to hold your boundaries and plan your self-care and replenishment so that you can develop a habit of looking after yourself.

She will also be inviting you to join us in some movement and dance during the day as well.

To do that we are inviting you away from whatever normally keeps you busy and bringing you:

We will kick off at 11 am UK Time

(That’s 1 pm in East Africa and 6 am on the East Coast of America)

You’ll be able to get a full replay afterwards if you miss anything as long as you sign up to participate.

Our Away Day will run for 5 hours till 4 pm UK time (6 pm EAT and 11 am EST), with a 30 min break in the middle.

We invite you to block this time in your diary.

You’ll receive three emails in the run up to the event, helping you prepare for it and links to the live event on 20th September a few days before it happens and reminders the day before and one the day of the event.
